Lacock

Well, what can I say? If you have never heard of this village, you have probably seen it. It is probably the most untouched village in the UK, if we could only remove the cars from it, you would truly believe you've been transported back in time.

Why would you have seen it? Well, if you have ever watched Cranford, Harry Potter, ITV's 1996 Emma, 1958 Film Moonraker, Robin of Sherwood, 1995 or 1967 versions of Pride & Prejudice, The Mayor of Casterbridge of The Other Boleyn Girl, plus many others, then that is where you would have seen it.

We had visited Lacock Abbey before but hadn't gone into the village. What a mistake! Very worthwhile having a walk around.

Our verdict on the day? A very good day.

A Medieval Bus Shelter!
